World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your equipment is a crucial aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase the base damage and enhancements of items.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. They can be acquired through the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapon
When a weapon gets upgraded, it receives a base damage bonus, as well as an adjustment factor that affects other stats. The weapon may also be upgraded with a number of upgrade components that offer additional effects or attributes as well as distinctive cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, or gathering tools, and most require that the equipment has an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain specifications. The upgrade component can be removed from an armored weapon, weapon or trinket, however it is not replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be retrieved by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, Ascended Salvage tool, or high-tier salvaging tool that is attached to an item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that improves certain stats, for example Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be repeated four times, based on weapon's level.
Once the weapon has reached its maximum level of improvement it can be reforged to add different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. These upgrades can all be applied at once, and their effects will differ based on how rare the weapon is.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both upgrade materials are different: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the standard weapons.
In general, it's best to improve your weapon's damage first. Then, you can upgrade your armor defense, and then those secondary stats required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon before any other gear, because it helps maximise DPS. This is particularly relevant for enchantments that increase a weapon's stats as well as damage.
Armor
Item upgrades allow players to boost the effectiveness of specific weapons, armors trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools. These upgrades may also provide additional effects, such as additional damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, through loot drops or as rewards for quests.
The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC, and spending the appropriate currency. Most armor will upgrade to the next level following an upgrade. Most armor types are upgradeable, however certain items (such as the starter armour found in Great Sky Island) cannot.
The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's defense or strength by a small amount. Some upgrades, however, could result in significant improvements in strength or defense. This is especially the case when upgrading epic items.
In addition to increasing the base defense of an item, a few upgrades also give specific abilities that can be activated while wearing a piece of armor. These abilities can prove useful in combat. For instance they can boost attack speed or block. Some upgrades have passive effects that can be beneficial like reducing damage while wearing armor or enhancing the chance to dodge an attack.
Upgrades to armor can require multiple attempts, depending on the type. If a player wishes to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a new Dragonscale armor that has a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor that has a base defense between 67-77, and so on.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations has an incredibly fair that can improve a piece of armor for you.
Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useful. The fact of the matter is that some armors have very significant enhancements to poison, curse, fire or magic damage reduction, which makes them invaluable for certain builds. There are many other ways to increase the strength of armor apart from upgrading the armor, like using the engineer trait to increase armor penetrating or the challenger to reduce total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by placing it in a brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new tier of potion effects, and can be re-used to unlock more potencies.
The potions also have the ability to select a custom color that can be selected by the player via /give. The color will affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the effects of the potion's particle effects.
The water bottle, mundane, thick and awkward potions now have a new texture of brewing. Added potion of weakness and healing potion in the Creative inventory. The addition of lingering potions that can be prepared by using splash potions or Dragon breath. Also included is a potent potion that has the status effect of Mining Fatigue.
